"The average GNU/Linux user is now getting better absolute performance from their computer as well as better value than the average Windows user" this is the conclusion of this new benchmark (just in case you didn't know already), one thing that has not been stated however, is that Windows Vista/7/.. is already that bad WITHOUT an ANTIVIRUS! I wonder what this comparison would look like if Norton Antivirus was installed and if some spywares were doing their jobs too, .. let alone the filesystem that gets fragmented as hell after a while and slows down the whole thing! I am pretty sure the performace loss exceede 700%
