Oracle buys SUN!

"On April 20, 2009, Sun and Oracle announced a definitive agreement under which Oracle will acquire Sun common stock for $9.50 per share in cash. The transaction is valued at approximately $7.4 billion, or $5.6 billion net of Sun's cash and debt. The proposed transaction is subject to Sun stockholder approval, certain regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Until the deal closes, each company will continue to operate independently, and it is business as usual."

My personal comment is that this is the worse thing that could ever strike the IT industry second to Microsoft acquiring SUN xD, Oracle is actually not very different from Microsoft afaic.
The question now is what will happen to MySQL? and to the other open source projects held by sun.
Will sun continue to support open source and easy licencing of valuable pieces of software to small businesses and personals for free? or will it concentrate on providing premium integrated solutions to big Oracle customers?
